Beneath the façade of a sleek and elegant everyday watch is hiding a Smart Watch, an extension to your phone and an uncompromising fitness tracker. The Garmin Fenix 3 Sapphire is equipped with a sensitive GPS/GLONASS receiver through an EXO antenna integrated around the colour Chroma display. You can leave it switched on all the time, and a single charge can last for up to 6 weeks in Smart mode, for example.
Daily Activity Monitor
The Fenix 3 watch offers the opportunity to track everyday activities. You can set the target number of steps per day, track the distance traveled and count the number of steps, display the calories burned, including those passive. The Garmin Connect web interface then enables you to to evaluate and compare your performance in detail.
Design and construction
The Garmin Fenix 3 Sapphire features a circular 1.2" colour display with 218 x 218 resolution. Unlike other smart watches on the market, the display does not fail and offers perfect readibility even in sunlight. The basic version of the watch is twenty grams lighter than the previous generation Fenix 2, and it is also noticeably thinner.
Training features
The Fenix 3 Sapphire Watch is one of the best equipped watches today and offers a wide range of training features. These include different alarm settings for heart rate, running tempo, speed, distance, and performance. It is also possible to use pre-set training plans for running or cycling.
Swimming and skiing
You can also take the Garmin Fenix 3 Sapphire to the swimming pool to measure your swimming workout with the built-in sensors and high water resistance. The watch measures mileage, SWOLF value, swimming efficiency, number of strokes and recognizes swimming styles. For fans of winter sports, Fenix 3 Sapphire features cross-country and downhill skiing. Because of the built-in barometer, the watch recognizes whether you are skiing or are on the lift.
