The Alcotest 7510 enables breathalyser tests for any application and is listed on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA CPL) Conforming Products List as an evidential breath tester. The device is a handheld detector that meets the conditions of OIML 126R. In the Czech Republic, the device is approved by the Czech Metrology Institute under type mark TCM 144/08 - 4644 as a specified measuring device. The Alcotest 7510 is a compact and robust handheld device that is suitable for both right-handed and left-handed use thanks to its special ergonomic design. A non-slip rubber casing ensures an optimal grip. The detection device is capable of detecting mouth alcohol – this technological advance is made possible by the use of a piezoelectric activator, which is part of this new testing system.

The Dräger Alcotest 7510 can be used immediately in any environment. Flexible data management, large memory capacity, and the ability to wirelessly transfer data to a Dräger mobile printer or to a computer, all allow for easy adaptation to national and international specifications. Thanks to the ambient pressure sensor, the device automatically compensates for any ambient barometric conditions when performing dry gas tests.

The device has a built-in innovative high-resolution transflective LCD display. The backlit display shows clear, unabbreviated and optionally multilingual messages about the test results, ensuring readability in bright sunlight as well as in complete darkness. In addition, the device is equipped with three light-emitting LED indicators for further information display support.

Because the Alcotest 7510 is from the Dräger sensor technology range, it guarantees short test intervals and precise measurements. A built-in heating element prevents condensation and ensures fast and accurate measurements even at sub-zero temperatures. The Dräger fuel cell responds specifically to alcohol and guarantees an unbeatable response and recovery time.

The Alcotest 7510 meets strict hygiene requirements. The sterile, single-use mouthpiece is fitted with a special guard to ensure a safe distance between the operator's hand and the subject's mouth. For maximum hygiene, the Alcotest 7510 has a special mouthpiece ejection mechanism. The mouthpiece attachment is illuminated for easy mouthpiece attachment even in complete darkness.
The Alcotest 7510 has a GPS module for precise recording of the geographical location of the breath test site. After entering these coordinates into a central computer, the administrator can create a map showing the density of apprehensions in relation to driving under the influence of alcohol. The technology also makes it possible to determine the exact location where the test was carried out – for possible administrative processing of specific drink-driving checks.
