De'Longhi Espresso Gourmet, beans, 1000g

The coffees roasted to medium grade offer a balanced taste with harmony between acidity and bitterness. This degree of roasting brings out the characteristic flavour profiles of the bean, while adding a subtle bitterness and fullness of flavour.

Blends of coffee varieties often combine different types of coffee beans, with Arabica and Robusta being the most common combination. The aim of this combination is to create a unique flavour profile that combines the best qualities of both varieties. Arabica is prized for its smoothness, high aromatic complexity and lower caffeine content. Its flavour is often rich and varied, with hints of fruit and flowers, bringing subtlety and aromatic depth to the blend. Robusta, on the other hand, adds intensity and a higher caffeine content, increasing the coffee's stimulating effect. By combining these two varieties, coffee producers create a harmonious blend that offers a balanced coffee experience.
