World Conqueror (2nd edition)
A fictionalized account of the dramatic events of the birth of the Macedonian kingdom, whose rise to power was crowned by King Philip II. Macedonian with his forays into neighbouring principalities and eventually his conquest of Greece, which he united in the Corinthian League for a planned campaign against Persia. Just before going to war, however, he was murdered by a member of his bodyguard at the wedding of his daughter Cleopatra. Who was behind this assassination has not been reliably clarified to this day. The rejected Queen Olympia was also suspected, Alexandra's mother, heir to the throne, whom Philip began to push into the background, and Alexander himself, to whom Philip's death opened the way to power. The author does not hesitate to ask questions that lead the reader to ponder the mysteries of the events depicted. The book then, based on historiographical accounts of Alexander's campaigns and victorious battles, depicts his journey to conquer the entire Persian empire and traces his exciting fortunes to the moments of his sudden, very mysterious illness at a banquet before setting out on a conquering campaign in Arabia. A disease that after a few days ends in the death of a brilliant conqueror and ruler of the largest empire in the world.
