Virtual reality is within range
The impressive and absorbing experiences of this year's virtual reality (VR), have so far been the prerogative of precious high-end cards. With Radeon RX 460, AMD aims to get as many customers as possible with this technology, and thanks to a favorable price tag, it can do so. The GPU itself is powered by a 4GB GDDR5 memory. By computing power of more than 2 TFLOPS , this piece can be equal to Pascal's competing NVIDIA chips, which are two times more expensive.
Leading both in resolution and frame rates
Connector equipment is fast. In addition to the upgraded HDMI 2.0b port featuring 4K at 60 frames per second, the DisplayPort i1.4 s on the rear . The enhanced interface can handle up to 3840 × 2160 at 120 frames per second. There is also the Freesync support for smooth images and HDR for great colour results. The Polaris architecture also takes H.265 acceleration in its stride to 4K resolution and even at 60 frames per second .
Improved GIGABYTE model
GIGABYTE has provided the card with Windforce 2X cooling. The carefully designed design connects two copper tube fans and delivers excellent cooling performance at an extremely low noise level. Thanks to the use of a special 3D design, it will provide a lower temperature compared to the classic AMD Radeon RX460.
The card has an intuitive Xtreme Engine tuning tool to help you easily adjust the performance and parameters of your card. You can find, for example, setting the fan speed, setting the frequency of the core or its voltage. The program monitors the status of the card and enables real-time debugging.
