Finnish sauna in your garden
The sauna is delivered unfolded as a kit, so you can easily assemble it yourself. The walls are made of profiled wood with a tongue-and-groove system that guarantees high strength and long life. A second ceiling with 42 mm thick mineral insulation is also included to prevent heat leakage. The stove is not included in the package, but we recommend adding a powerful stove with an output of 9 kW. All types of KARIBU stoves have corrosion-resistant internal parts and come with 18 kg of sauna stones. The control can be integrated or external, depending on your preference.

Double glazed window and two doors
The house is equipped with a high-quality double-glazed insulating window with a thickness of 4/16/4 mm and a heat transfer coefficient of K = 1.1 W/m²K, which can be flexibly placed in both the sauna room and the hallway. The wooden entrance door is fitted with frosted insulating glass and equipped with a three-key lock. It can only be installed as a left-hand one (through dimension 78 × 175 cm). The interior is separated by an elegant all-glass door made of 8mm smoked brown safety glass with a passage of 64 × 173 cm, which ensures both privacy and aesthetic appeal.

Roof and floor with quality insulation
The external dimensions of the KARIBU SKROLLAN 2 are 337 × 231 cm, while the roof extends to 373 × 262 cm. The height of the wall is 210 cm, the height to the ridge is 239 cm. All this ensures plenty of space while maintaining compact dimensions. The roof has a pitch of 6° and needs its own covering. The manufacturer recommends self-adhesive bitumen sheeting or shingles. The floor consists of durable solid decking boards 96 mm wide and 19 mm thick, placed on a solid, pressure-impregnated frame, which ensures the longevity and stability of the entire structure.

Importance of the correct base:
The foundation under the sauna is crucial for its longevity. It should be elevated, drained and on an absolute level. The use of bituminous cardboard between the timber frame and the subfloor will prevent the penetration of moisture.
Surface treatment for longer life:
The house is supplied in natural finish and before assembly it is necessary to treat the outer parts with a quality glaze. The inside of the sauna cabin is not treated with paint, so it retains its ideal properties for sauna use.
Ideal temperature and effective heating of the sauna:
To make the sauna fully functional and enjoyable, it is important to heat the space properly. The temperature should reach 80-90 °C, with significant differences in altitude. The highest temperatures are kept just below the ceiling, with 65-75°C at bench level and approximately 20-25°C at floor level being ideal. We recommend measuring the temperature at least 10 cm from the walls. If you plan to use the sauna during the winter, bear in mind that frost and wind outside can extend the heating time and limit the maximum temperatures reached. In cold conditions, we recommend insulating the floor (e.g. using hardened polystyrene or mineral wool) and possibly consider installing a second stove.
