She graduated in journalism from the Faculty of Social Sciences at Charles University. She is a successful literary translator and also devotes her time to her own writing. She has translated over two hundred fiction titles for children and adults from English, and she also translates non-fiction literature. In 2010, she was awarded the Golden Ribbon for her translation of Michelle Paver's novel Oath Breaker, and she received the same award in 2021 for her book Dog Days. Her first thriller, Destroy the Name, was nominated for the Magnesia Litera award in the 'crime novel' category. She continues in this genre with her title Cruel Moon.
