Black ice
The second part of the crime series with detective Harry Bosch.
"It's all a cesspool, man. It doesn't matter if you're at the bottom or the top. You're still swimming in shit."
A colleague of Harry's is found dead in a dodgy motel. From the suicide note, everyone assumes he committed suicide, but Harry knows not to put on the facts alone without a clear context. He suspects that the distributors of a new drug called Black Ice may have a vested interest in his colleague's death, and the discovery of two other dead people who played a role in the case reassures him of this view. Despite warnings to stay away from the case, Harry sets out on his own. The hunt escalates until the final denouement, which brings several unexpected twists.
The detective stories were also the basis for the successful television series Bosch starring Tito Welliver, currently in its sixth season.

He is the author of 33 books, which have been translated into 39 languages and some of them have been successfully made into films - Clint Eastwood directed the novel Blood Trail (2002), and Matthew McConaughey played the lead role in the 2011 film adaptation of The Advocate.
