Time of the wolves

A loose sequel to the historical novel The Fourth King's Dog

The year is 1417 and Hynek Tas of Bor finally managed to persuade the king to release him from his service. He receives as a merit the castle of Vlkov in the south of Bohemia, included in the estate of the king's old rivals - the Rožmberks. That, what Tas has wanted for years, So, calm down, but with a powerful neighbor at his back, by robbery gangs, by wandering preachers and hordes of Hussites cannot come.

As with the previous novel, the plot is full of suspense and twists, betrayal, but also friendship. Tas, so scant on any display of emotion, suddenly stands between his mistress Ulrika and his new wife Margaret of Blatka. Cold steel, frost, burning houses, hours in the saddle, the howling of the wolves and the foreshadowing of years of warfare to come with the advent of the followers of the new doctrine, that is the framework of this fictional story.
