Conclave - The Mystery of the Papal Election

The election of the Pope, Christ's representative and successor to the Apostle Peter, has been accompanied by many problems throughout history.

How to ensure, so that the voters can focus on this act in peace, acted in good conscience, if possible without delay, so they don't run away, where the right place is, where the intrigues and influences of the secular powers do not penetrate? Only in isolation in a closed space, i.e. in a conclave. Since its creation in the 13th century, the conclave has operated according to established principles, one of which - absolute confidentiality of internal information - has not always been fulfilled completely successfully. Thanks to this, a knowledgeable author can convey to the reader some unexpected, often bizarre circumstances and details concerning the election itself and the personalities of the popes. He also gives an insight into the place where the traditional act of election takes place, the papal symbols and the inauguration rituals. He concludes with a distinctive vision of how the election under the new decree could take place in the near future.
