Dark Secrets

A search into the hidden secrets of a prestigious school.

A MURDERED GYMNAST? A SAD AFFAIR, BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, THE SCHOOL'S REPUTATION MUST NOT SUFFER!

The peaceful life of the inhabitants of Västerås, Sweden, famous for its cucumber farming and many cycle paths, is disrupted by the discovery of the mutilated body of a 16-year-old boy in the nearby marshes. Roger Eriksson, who has recently transferred to a private high school, has his heart cut out, so the local police prefer to leave the case to the state police. Which is proving to be an increasingly good idea as the bodies and false leads mount. Not even the renowned police psychologist Sebastian Bergman - now retired - is able to find the killer, and although he joins the investigation for purely private reasons, his initially lukewarm approach is soon replaced by the old desire to be the first to solve the case. Only one thing is certain - all the clues lead to this prestigious school, behind whose walls dark secrets are hidden...

The first installment of a successful crime series featuring a precise but self-centered psychologist and an incorrigible womanizer.
