Eat, meditate, love
A new, updated edition of the bestselling book (and film).
A young lady's pilgrimage to earthly and spiritual pleasures across Italy, India and Indonesia... Elizabeth has everything one expects from a modern American woman: a husband, a house and a successful career. But instead of feeling happy, she is consumed by panic, despair and confusion. So he decides to take a radical step. All alone, she embarks on a year-long pilgrimage around the world.
In Italy he studies the art of pleasure, flirts, feasts uncontrollably and puts on the ten happiest kilos of his life. In India, he takes a four-month spiritual journey into his own inner self, which includes such apparent contradictions as meditation, black humour, mantras and visions. In Indonesia, where she becomes a disciple of a peculiar old shaman, she seeks her ultimate goal: balance and the ability to balance your life.
EAT... For a few stalks of asparagus and an Italian newspaper, you ruined our life together?
MEDITATE... You'll see things so beautiful you'll want to throw a rock at the Taj Mahal.
LOVE... If you are a single woman travelling in Bali, the best answer to the question "Are you married?" is: "Not yet."
The book was also made into a successful film starring Julia Roberts.
