Empire

The audiobook Empire contains an alternate history novel.

World War II ended with the victory of Nazi Germany. Immediately in 1945, construction began on Hitler's Wall, known simply as the Wall, which cut across the Eurasian continent from north to south. The area on the eastern side was used by the Luftwaffe as a firing range. A cocktail of nuclear, biological and chemical weapons has returned the former Russia to the Middle Ages, but at the same time has caused new mutations. And not only physical, but also mental...

Will the SEALs succeed in kidnapping one exceptionally gifted individual? Can his telekinetic powers prevent the outbreak of World War III between the US and the Great German Empire? And how is life in the ever-shrinking Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia? The new leader, Reinhard Heydrich, continues to push the remaining Slavs eastwards, but what does this actually mean - expulsion behind the Wall, or outright death?

Roman Bures

A native of Kladno who likes to fulfil his dreams. Apart from writing, his passions include travel, antiquity and martial arts, which he pursues intensively. He used to work as a bodyguard and bouncer in Prague clubs, and now he uses his rich life experience in his books.

He started his literary career in 2012 by writing short stories. And because he was not satisfied with short texts, he soon turned to novels. In 2013 he published two, Legionnaire and Raging Lion. Both are set in ancient Rome. However, he considers his original historical-adventure science fiction trilogy The Abyss of Time, which he opened with the book of the same name in 2015, to be followed up a year later with a sequel entitled Empress. The final volume, subtitled Empire, was published in 2018.
