Enchanted Monastery
A cursed monastery: Shark's return to Gemer
The kite is coming back. After thirteen years overseas, where he fought in the war of the North against the South and guarded the law in the western borderlands, Adam Šarkan is heading back to his native Gemer. His sister Julia asks him to help her search for her husband. Zeman Henrich Belohorský mysteriously disappeared during the search for the mythical treasure of the Red Monks somewhere in the mountains behind Jelšava. The trail also leads to the parish in nearby Drienčany, where the expedition will be joined by local legend expert Pavol Dobšinský and his pastor Zuzana Kráľovičová. Along the way, it turns out that Henrich's disappearance could be related to the recent robbery of a shipment of money for the administration of the Coburg estate. And even the dreaded Baron Horváth, who owns a house of forbidden pleasures and is said to be in league with dubious elements, knows something. The Cursed Monastery is the first novel of the Sharkan Treasures cycle. An adventure story with elements of detective, western and gothic horror is brought to the hands of readers with illustrations by the successful artist Michal Ivan.
