As a result, Czechia has been stagnating for a long time and is losing social cohesion. Meanwhile, the geopolitical situation, an ageing population and the climate crisis present us with much more serious challenges. Sociologist Daniel Prokop shows that we need fair growth. Czechia will only grow if it fairly includes all its inhabitants in its prosperity. At the same time, it must overcome the inertia that currently governs public systems. Some people get lost in them, the rest exploit their loopholes and weaknesses, and politics only maintains social rigidity. The book Fair Growth shows the depth of the local problems and at the same time describes in detail data-driven reforms of taxes, the social system, education, but also local governments or health prevention, which would move Czechia towards prosperity for all. DANIEL PROKOP (born 1984) is a sociologist known for, among other things, his book Blind Spots (2019). He introduced a number of innovations in Czech election polls at the Median agency, and subsequently founded the analytical organisation PAQ Research. It focuses on research into education, tax and social systems, and proposals for their improvement. He participated in the creation of the 2030+ Education Strategy and was a member of NERV (National Economic Council of the Government). He received the Journalism Award in 2016 and 2020 for the series of analytical articles on Czech society "Introduction to Practical Sociology" in Salon Práva and for the research project Divided by Freedom for Czech Radio. He collaborates with Czech Radio on the project Life Beyond Affordability.
