Fog over Shadow Sands
Evil lurks even where you can't see it. Kate Marshall's second case.
Kate Marshall and her assistant, Tristan Harper, are investigating yet another baffling case. What is the connection between the disappearance of the young people and the Shadow Sands area? And what role does the thick English fog play?
While diving in Shadow Sands Reservoir, Kate Marshall discovers the dead body of a young man who used to be an excellent swimmer. The police are called in and the case is ruled a tragic accident, although Kate has her doubts.
Gradually, more doubts and questions emerge: Why did the victim go swimming in the middle of the night? Why don't his injuries match the police scenario? And why are there more dead bodies found in the tank? Is it just an unfortunate coincidence, or is the killer taking advantage of the fact that no one can see him?
Kate is sure there's more going on around Shadow Sands Reservoir than meets the eye, especially when the fog rolls in. People have been quietly disappearing for years, and when another young woman goes missing, Kate and her assistant Tristan are given only days to save her from the same fate, according to the clues.
