Level on fire

In a grimy English port city at the turn of the 20th century, two people with nothing left to lose meet. Oliver carries a dark past under his skin, and Nancy learned to survive before she even had a chance to grow up. Both are outcasts on the fringes of society, and both know that no opportunity comes for free. When their paths cross, an alliance is formed that is as fragile as it is dangerous. An unexpected chance at a better life draws them into a chain of persecution, revenge, and intrigue far beyond their means. Under the gaslights, in the fog and filth, a ruthless fight for their own future unfolds, where decisions are made quietly and quickly, sometimes with a blade, other times with a signature on an illegible piece of paper. But every decision has a cost – and it's often paid in blood.
