Jana and Petr managed to win the duel against the dreaded wizard Mabrok without losing their lives. However, this was far from resolving their situation; on the contrary, it set unexpected events in motion. Both are trying to cope with many unforeseen twists and turns while also finding their way back to each other. But it is not at all easy. While she is just getting to know him, he knows everything about her. Or at least he thinks he does, because time travel is rather unpredictable. Jana discovers that living with someone in real life is not what she painted in her romantic fantasies, especially when it comes to a powerful wizard who bends the truth to suit his needs. Petr wanted to start a new life, but it is anything but simple—to some, he is a criminal; to others, a traitor. A struggle for power and control over Ostrava begins, and Petr has only one option left—to take his former master's place.
Petra Slováková has created a story that is hard to put down. Magic, love, time travel… in short, everything you expect from this genre and what the souls of not only teenagers yearn for.

If young adult literature can be criticised for conforming to popular taste, being superficial, and paying little attention to artistic quality, then none of that applies to Petra Slováková's novel. It is dominated by admirable imagination, an ambiguous view of good and evil, and a polished, vivid language.
