Seven years ago, Miles Pussett was a jockey in steeplechasing, but after an unfortunate incident he left the sport and vowed never to return. Now he seeks adrenaline on the Swiss ice track Cresta Run in St. Moritz. He happens to be in the town on the same weekend that the top horse races are held on the frozen lake and is persuaded to help with the horses. However, things are not as innocent as they seemed. When Miles discovers that something fishy is going on at the racetrack that could fundamentally affect his future, he starts looking for answers. But someone wants to stop him - and will do anything to do so.
