In his novel Pokrývač, published by ČAS Publishing House on the occasion of his eighty-fifth birthday, Miloň Čepelka looks back to the times of the Hussák era of normalisation, when people with artistic ambitions in the so-called "Hussák era" were able to create their own art. the grey zone, they were told that despite all the fears and evasive manoeuvres, they were in control of their lives. The story, subtitled Reflections from the life of ing. The Butcher, told with ironic detachment, is the author's tribute to the Czech language, verbally and stylistically so diverse.
