Seven on the Red River

A mysterious post-apocalyptic thriller from the author of bestselling fantasy series

A ship, somewhere in the middle of the ocean. A reddish fog that refuses to lift. And seven people whose memories have been wiped clean. When the heroes awaken on board, they have no idea how they got there, where they are headed, or even who they are. Their only clues are scars on their heads, made-up names tattooed on their wrists, and an arsenal of weapons below deck. It soon becomes clear that each member of the group is a specialist in a certain field, and if they want to survive, they will have to work together. But the journey ahead will put their forced alliance to the test... and their own memories will become their most terrifying enemy.

The author of the successful fantasy series Raven's Shadow, Draconis Memoria, and The Covenant of Steel delivers a thrilling near-future story that leaves readers guessing just as much as the characters, offering new revelations and twists right up to the very last page.

In this post-apocalyptic thriller, Ryan proves his storytelling talent extends well beyond epic fantasy. […] A powerful horror story with well-drawn characters and an inventive spin on a familiar theme that packs a punch.

Bird Box meets World War Z in the genre-bending Red River Seven, a wildly entertaining combination of a locked-room mystery, a heart-pounding thriller and a gruesome horror novel. It will keep you reading long into the night and give you nightmares for a long time after you turn the last page.
- Philip Fracassi, author of Behold the Void
