Sid Meier's Civilization V: Brave New World (MAC)

The Brave New World game expansion adds new elements focused on international trade and diplomacy to the strategy game Sid Meier's Civilization V. Nine new nations, eight wonders of the world, and two historical scenarios await you. The expansion introduces international trade route mechanics and the World Congress, where global events are decided. The base game Civilization V activated on Steam is required to play.

New Trade and Diplomacy Options

The expansion emphasises international trade and diplomacy. You can now create trade routes that will bring you prosperity and allow you to spread your culture and religion to foreign states. Will you choose shorter, safer paths, or will you take longer routes with the prospect of higher profits? The importance of diplomacy is underscored by the World Congress, which allows for decisions on trade sanctions, limits on resource use, or the hosting of the World Games.

New Nations and Wonders of the World

Brave New World brings a total of nine new civilisations to the game. Each has its own unique traits, leader, special units, and buildings, which opens up new strategic possibilities. In addition, you can build eight new wonders of the world in your empire, which provide significant advantages at various stages of the game and contribute to achieving victory.

Two New Game Scenarios

The expansion also includes two elaborate game scenarios. In the first, you take on the role of the leader of the Union or the Confederacy in the American Civil War scenario. The second scenario, Scramble for Africa, depicts the struggle of colonial powers for dominance over the African continent and its wealth. Both scenarios offer specific objectives and game conditions different from the main game.
