The audiobook Cry Wolf, written by Patricia Briggs, translated by Kateřina Niklová. Read by Dagmar Křížová, directed by Ondřej Černý. Alpha and Omega #1 With the audiobook Cry Wolf, the first in the new Alpha and Omega series, Patricia Briggs will once again delight werewolf lovers. And also all fans of the previous, exceptionally successful audiobook series starring Mercy Thompson. Charles, the main character of Alpha and Omega, is the brother of Samuel, one of the main characters in the Mercy Thompson series and also the son of Bran, the alpha of all alphas. Anna never knew werewolves existed until the night she survived a brutal attack… and became one herself. After three years at the bottom of the pack hierarchy, she has learned to keep her head down and never, ever trust dominant wolves. But then Charles Cornick, an enforcer and the son of the leader of all werewolves in North America, enters her life. Charles insists that Anna is not only his mate, but also a rare and valued omega. And it is Anna's inner strength and calming presence that will prove invaluable when she and Charles set out to hunt a rogue werewolf—a creature controlled by magic so dark it could threaten the entire pack. THE AUDIOBOOK ALSO INCLUDES THE NOVELLA ALPHA AND OMEGA, WHICH EVENTUALLY GAVE THE ENTIRE SERIES ITS NAME PATRICIA BRIGGS American author Patricia Briggs (born 1965) has been writing since 1990. Her first novel, Masques, was published in 1993. The book was not successful, and the author's barely started career almost ended before it began. Fortunately, her second novel, Steal the Dragon, sold much better and received favourable reviews from critics. The author's career slowly took off, and with each new title, sales and the number of fans grew. The growing popularity of Briggs's books, combined with her ability to create vivid, compelling characters, inspired her publisher to ask her to try writing a modern urban fantasy. Briggs accepted the challenge and signed a contract for the books whose main character would become Mercy Thompson.
