The brutally beaten and dismembered body of a young girl is found in Holice. The investigation is taken up by the efficient and ambitious Commissioner Laura Linhart, not very popular among her colleagues, together with her new colleague Adam Benes. The main suspect is a recently convicted murderer who has committed a similar murder. Although the similarities between the two cases are unmistakable, it soon becomes apparent that the similarities are only apparent. Unidentified killer number two appears on the scene and the pair of detectives embark on a complex investigation full of unexpected revelations.
