Syndromes in internal medicine from A to Z

Internal medicine is the queen of medicine. At present, in a broader sense, it includes the sub-areas, like cardiology, Pneumology, endocrinology, angiology, haematology, etc.

It is therefore a very large field. This also corresponds to a large number of nosological units, a large number of eponyms – terms used in medicine that are named after doctors (sometimes places and things). New discoveries are often named traditionally after their discoverers.

The publication is designed as a guide to these syndromes. There is similar information of older date in the Czech literature, but the present publication is more detailed and includes new as well as older or forgotten units.

Individual nosological units are briefly described, including the origin of the unit, basic information about the author and characteristics of the syndrome. At the end of each unit, a basic literary source is listed where the reader can find more detailed information.

The book is supplemented by a detailed index, both by name and by subject.

It is intended for all medical students, physicians and nurses who want to quickly obtain information about a symptom or syndrome without having to search through extensive literature or the Internet. The author of the book has published, among others. successful publication Urgent admission, which has been published several times.
