The fatal promise

A team of CSIs, led by DI Kim Stone, are only slowly recovering from the tragic loss of one of their own when they are assigned a new case. A man is found brutally murdered in the local woods and his identity shocks Kim - it is Dr Gordon Cordell, who was involved in a previous investigation into the death of a girl at an elite private school. Gordon had a checkered past, but who would want to kill him? A few days later, Gordon's son's life is in danger after a serious car accident. And Kim knows this was no longer a coincidence. Another discovery of a corpse only confirms it - this time she's facing a serial killer, perhaps the most dangerous she's ever encountered. At a frantic pace, the killer is claiming one victim after another - and he's far from finished.
