The Fog
The dead don't stay silent. The third instalment of the atmospheric detective series
Summer is at its peak, the sun is shimmering on the surface of the sea, and a baking competition is about to take place in Hovenäset, with August Strindberg among the contestants. But then the fog rolls in, and the idyllic scene is shattered by the discovery of a dead man hanged on the beach. Nobody knows him, and Inspector Maria Martinsson asks herself: who is he and what brought him here? The trail leads back to the summer of 1989, when a dismembered woman was found in a local house. Was her killer really convicted back then? And how far will those who want the secrets of the past to remain hidden go?
