The Vampire of the Horse Market
Audiobook Vampýr z Koňského trhu (The Vampire from the Horse Market), written by Jan Bauer, read by Petr Štěpán, directed by Ondřej Černý.
Magistrate Jakub Protiva and the Monk Blasius #2
Fear spreads through Prague's New Town. A vampire is stalking the Horse Market on dark nights, strangling its victims and biting their throats. The bodies are piling up in the morgue at St Stephen's, and Magistrate Jakub Protiva promises the councillors he will put a stop to it. But his friend, the Franciscan monk Blasius, advises him against making grand promises. After all, dealing with a vampire will be anything but simple. This suspenseful story with horror elements transports us to the end of the 14th century, when the Kingdom of Bohemia was also struck by the Black Death. Despite this threat, the pair of investigators must engage in a very risky struggle.
