Thursday Amateur Detective Club

This foursome of British pensioners are definitely not old hat yet.

In a luxury retirement village, an unusual group of friends gather weekly to try to crack old unsolved criminal cases. Former policewoman or perhaps even secret agent Elizabeth (she prefers not to talk too much about her past), retired famous union leader Ron, sought-after retired psychiatrist Ibrahim and former nurse Joyce have a wealth of experience and valuable contacts, and crime investigation is their shared passion. So when one day the police start looking for the killer of a local developer, this lively quartet of amateur detectives can't stay away.

Popular presenter Richard Osman has managed to combine a thrilling detective story with a humorous probe into the lives of British seniors in his award-winning debut novel.
