They became famous in Tolkien's Lord of the Rings – who doesn't know Gimli's rivalry with Legolas to see who could kill the most orcs?
Yes, we're talking about dwarves. Small in stature, big in heart. They have mostly been described as comical figures, the butt of various jokes and pranks. But joking at the expense of Boïndil or his twin Boëndal is not recommended. They wield their war axes with such skill that a horde of orcs is just a small appetiser before a proper battle.
However, a far greater danger than hordes of orcs threatens the Girdled Land. Through treachery, the Stone Gateway has fallen, and the dark älfar have entered the Girdled Land. They have comely faces, but instead of eyes, black bottomless pits…
The älfar take the lives of their victims, and the Dead Land takes their souls. Is saving the Girdled Land too big a task for a small dwarf?
Find the answer in the pages of this book and join Tungdil on the greatest adventure of his life…
