Murder in the crypt

Who hid the dead body in the medieval knight's tomb – and why?

Murder in the Crypt is the first book in the Redmond and Haze Mysteries series, which transports readers to 19th-century England. When the body of a young man is found in a medieval knight's tomb, the case falls to Constable Daniel Haze – a man who has never investigated a murder before. Suspicion falls on the mysterious American captain, Jason Redmond, who arrived in the village of Birch Hill just before the crime. However, it gradually becomes clear that Redmond, a former soldier and skilled surgeon, is a key figure in the hunt for the killer.

Haze and Redmond, two men from different worlds, must join forces to track down the murderer in the oppressive atmosphere of Victorian England, a world rife with prejudice, greed, and secrets. But the closer they get to the truth, the more they risk their own lives. This thrilling historical thriller uncovers not only the dark secrets of a small village but also the personal demons of its two main characters.
