Razor in the morning
The fourth case of Hawthorne and Horowitz
The fourth joint case of former police officer Daniel Hawthorne and his “Watson”, Anthony Horowitz, was never even supposed to see the light of day in book form. The contract was for three books, and that’s more than enough for Anthony. So, to Hawthorne's disappointment, he refuses any further collaboration – after all, he has other projects. For example, a play that is just starting its run but fails to impress the critics. The particularly feared Harriet Throsby doesn't pull any punches and completely tears the production to shreds. The next day, Harriet is found dead. A dagger, which by sheer coincidence belongs to Anthony and is covered in his fingerprints, is sticking out of her heart. Will Hawthorne be willing to help his former partner? And can he find the real killer before Anthony ends up in prison?

Anthony Horowitz
Anthony Horowitz is one of the most prolific and successful British writers. His novels The House of Silk and Moriarty were among the top ten bestsellers on the Sunday Times list and are sold in more than thirty-five countries. His Alex Rider children's books have sold over nineteen million copies worldwide. Horowitz revived the golden era of Bond in the stories Trigger Mortis and Forever and a Day. He brilliantly combined the classic Agatha Christie-style detective story with an equally ingenious modern plot in the novels Magpie Murders and The Word is Murder. Drawing from A. C. Doyle's detective stories, he cast Holmes in the role of the sociopathic but brilliant investigator Hawthorne for the stories The Sentence is Death, A Line to Kill, and The Twist of a Knife. As a television screenwriter, he created the series Midsomer Murders and Foyle's War, which won an award from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. Horowitz's other television works include Hercule Poirot and the widely acclaimed miniseries Collision and Injustice.
