From Illusions to Love

In his latest book, Stepping out of Fear, the American psychiatrist and student of Master Osho, loosely follows up on the themes of his first book, Awakening Vulnerability. He explores in depth the wounds we experienced as children, which stand in the way of us living a life of freedom and love, and do not allow us to get close to another person with trust. With practical steps on how to recognise, become aware of, and leave these wounds behind, Krishnananda leads us to experience true sharing.

As children, we are born completely open and receptive to even the most subtle signals from our environment. If we encounter energy that is in any way violent, strict, closed, or rejecting, or if we even experience physical violence and abuse, our openness and vulnerability close up under layers of shock, pain, shame, and fear, through which it is no longer possible to experience closeness with another person. Only when we become aware of all our defence mechanisms and strategies can we slowly free ourselves from them and experience the love, sensitivity, and joy that overflow from within us.

In this book, Krishnananda Thomas Trobe and his wife Amana Trobe openly present the path that led them out of the captivity of fear and loneliness, and they share their intimate experience of their relationship.
