Currently, there is a noticeable upsurge of interest in lesser-known and hard-to-find exotic plant species. These include attractive tropical orchids. However, the success of their cultivation depends largely on knowledge of their optimal living conditions. The offer of basic, proven and practical information is rather poor and limited to sketchy and often misleading information from various recipe books and little useful advice. The consequence of this is that the plants we buy don't stand a chance in our apartments and die sooner or later if they are not cared for properly. For this case, the author has prepared an updated and expanded edition of her successful publication. In it, she has put to good use her 20 years of practical and invaluable experience, which she herself gained both in a Prague apartment and in a family home over the last five years. The book gives detailed advice to both novice growers and those who have suddenly been blessed with an exotic plant and do not know what to do with it.
