Ovum

A small town in Northern Bohemia, full of dilapidated houses and abandoned factories, provides the backdrop for a thrilling urban fantasy for teenage readers. Simona, a secondary school student, is fascinated by the dark beauty of these buildings. While wandering the streets one day, she meets Larin, who also likes to explore old buildings, albeit for different reasons. Before Simona can learn more about them, Larin is kidnapped, and she finds herself caught up in a dangerous adventure. At its centre is the mysterious Ovum, a four-hundred-year-old egg-shaped table clock with a remarkably complex mechanism. It's a collector's rarity, whose last known owner was a local factory owner. He left his descendants mysterious clues on how to get to the Ovum. But why was he so secretive about it? And who exactly are Larin and his unconventional friend Alice?
