Maddie is a kind and sensible thirty-year-old woman, but she also has a bohemian side: she studied art history and wants to make it as an artist. So far, she's had no luck and is broke, so she accepts a summer job offer: she'll work as a hostess on a luxury yacht in Croatia, where a group of friends from the fashion industry are sailing. The job was arranged for her by her friend Nina, whose brother Nick is one of the guests on the boat. He comes from a completely ordinary farming family, but he is now dating model Tara, whom he met when a fashion shoot took place on his farm. Maddie tries to succeed in her role as a hostess and accommodate the pampered guests, but the arrogant Tara doesn't make it easy for her.

Things are slowly starting to go wrong between Nick and Tara; after all, they come from different worlds. One of the guests, the handsome and wealthy Simon, is interested in Maddie, appreciating her artistic talent and full curves – but is he sincere? At the same time, Maddie realises that she likes Nick more and more…
