The Prusa i3 MK3 3D Kit is a versatile 3D printer. It is designed to be quieter, more reliable, faster and smarter than its award-winning Prusa i3 MK2 predecessor. The printer has a redesigned extruder and a number of useful sensors to ensure smooth printing. The MK3 printer features a new MK52 magnetic heatbed with lightweight replaceable PEI spring steel print sheets that remain undamaged even when in contact with the nozzle. All of these enhancements guarantee perfect printing results every time.

Sensor Monitoring

The Prusa i3 MK3 3D printer is equipped with a wide range of sensors so that the printing process is perfectly monitored and any problems are immediately detected. There is an optical filament encoder that detects the presence of filament and its movement. It can also recognise and alert you to any jammed filament and give you the option to clean the nozzle. The MK3 3D printer has two new thermistors. The first measures ambient electronics temperatures to prevent MINITEMP errors. The second is embedded in the new P.I.N.D.A. 2 probe to compensate for the temperature drift. This achieves complete accuracy from the first layer to the last.

Complete Printing Solution

This Prusa i3 MK3 comes as a Do-It-Yourself self-assembly kit. But do not worry, building the printer is fun and comes with a detailed manual including illustrations. You don't have to solder at all. Just screw and plug the connectors. Everything you need - installation tools, software and support from the manufacturer - are included. This makes Prusa printers the most popular with users all over the world.
