Permanent results
The Rio Home Laser uses innovative "Target-and-Treat" technology. The device registers the given location and sends the laser beam to the hair follicle. Due to the high concentration of energy, the hair is destroyed from the root without affecting the surrounding skin. After a few days or weeks, the hair comes loose at the root and falls out. This process is known as phototermolysis. Unlike other methods, epilation with Rio Home Laser, will ensure lasting results. You can now treat yourself to beauty salon procedures in the comfort of your home.
Innovative technology
The Rio Home Laser produces light that is concentrated in one high-intensity beam. Our skin contains a pigment known as melanin. The laser reacts with the hair pigment and the concentrated energy heats the hair up to an extremely high temperature. Eventually, it burns and the hair is permanently destroyed. Using a wavelength of 808nm, it is possible to treat the relatively dark skin and even very light skin. However, this method is not suitable for Afro-Caribbean or black skin complexions because the melanin concentration in the skin is too high. On the other hand, laser therapy is also ineffective for removing white or grey hairs, where there is not enough melanin.
