Romantic fiction

In his books, the Russian writer Alexandr Grin created a world of cheerful and courageous people, a beautiful land full of fragrant bushes and sunshine. A land not found on any map, named Grinlandia. There, fantasy intertwines with reality, and the bizarre events will make your head spin, as if after a glass of wine. This book features what is probably Grin's most famous novella, Scarlet Sails, a fairytale story about a simple girl named Assol and a young captain, Arthur Grey. It is a story in which the dream of love and beauty triumphs over a world of malice and hatred. The book also introduces you to other works by the author, the novellas The Green Lamp and Around the World.

In this publication, you will find:

• abridged and suitably adapted novellas in the original language
• a parallel Czech translation
• commentary on grammatical and lexical points
• interesting tests with an answer key at the end of the book

The book is accompanied by an MP3 CD, on which the novellas are narrated by a native speaker.
