What Makes SSDs So Popular?
SSD storage devices introduce a great performance boost for all types of PCs. The key to success lies in their lack of any moving components and a completely dissimilar data processing system. This means improved resistance to standard shocks and bumps. Also note the minimal noise and considerably reduced power consumption. The Seagate BarraCuda SSD 500GB contains a special 3D NAND chip. This chip type is notable for its vertical multilayered structure, resembling microscopic towers. For some models, the manufacturer lists their lifespan in the so-called terabytes written (TBW). The Seagate BarraCuda SSD 500GB features a TBW of 249 TBW.
