The Seagate Exos 7E8 8TB Base FastFormat SATA hard drive is one of the high load internal HDDs for NAS and ordinary data centres. 3.5" HDDs are designed mainly for data centres and desktop PCs. One of the most important characteristics is undoubtedly the number of revolutions per minute (RPM). The 7200 RPM RPM delivers better speeds when working with multimedia and data. The hard disk provides a storage capacity of 8000 GB. The drive features a 256 MB memory cache. All the data communication between the Seagate hard disk and other hardware is takes place via the SATA III interface.
The HDD boasts a unique design. Inside the drive there is a mechanism that utilises moving platters accompanied by hard disk heads that read and write the data. These moving parts are not particularly resistant against shock or impact, but this weak point is well-compensated by a great combo of a low price and great storage capacity. The crucial criterion that determines the speed of a hard disk is the number of platter revolutions per minute, generally known as RPM. With the Seagate Exos 7E8 8TB Base FastFormat SATA, you get 7200 RPM RPM. This is ideal for demanding users, such as graphic or video editors - in short, people who work with large amounts of data. System responsivity and overall stability is also influenced by the disk buffer - the so-called cache. The Seagate platter drive includes a 256 MB cache that keeps the last written data for their prompt retrieval and reading.
If you want to mount the Seagate Exos 7E8 8TB Base FastFormat SATA in your PC or other device, it requires a 3.5" slot. All communication with the computer happens through the SATA III interface with a speed of 3 Gbit/s. The technology ranks among the best HDD data transfer solutions available and delivers a throughput of 600 MB/s.
