Tamron introduces the second generation of the G2 telephoto lens, building seamlessly on the success of its predecessor, the SP 150-600 F/5-6.3 Di VC USD. The TAMRON SP 150-600mm f/5.0-6.3 Di VC USD G2 lens for NIkon features an improved optical design that achieves even greater performance. Three Low Dispersion (LD) light scattering elements completely eliminate axial and transverse chromatic aberrations. The optical design, with 21 elements in 13 groups, has also been improved and uses innovative manufacturing technology to achieve high resolution, better sharpness and improved lens performance. Thanks to the fully manual focusing mechanism, manual focus adjustments can be made even during autofocusing without switching the focus mode, allowing smooth and precise focusing. The lens is ready to meet the high demands of photographers who specialize in ultra telephotography.

The TAMRON SP 150-600mm F/5-6.3 Di VC USD G2 offers several features and innovations. For example, special nanostructured eBAND coating on the surface of the member eliminates glare and shadows. The eBAND surface treatment technique uses a nanostructured layer (1 nm = 1/1,000,000 mm) with an ultra-low refractive index. In addition, this treatment offers higher light transmission and improved anti-reflective properties. In combination with BBAR coating, they reduce glare and shadows to a minimum. The minimum focusing distance is 2.2 metres, which is 0.5 metres less than the previous model.

The model is equipped with a USD (Ultrasonic Silent Drive) motor with excellent response and control. AF speed has been significantly increased over the previous version, allowing for maximum focusing speed when shooting moving subjects.

As for the efficiency of the VC image stabilization, it corresponds to 4.5 EV steps in this case. Tamron's VC is a three-coil system where three drive coils electromagnetically actuate a group of VC stabilizing elements via three ceramic ball bearings. The VC stabilizing optical members are held in place only by contact with the ceramic ball bearings, whichallows smooth movement with minimal friction. In addition, the lens offers three types of VC modes:
VC MODE 1 - standard mode, optimal balance between viewfinder image stability and stabilization effects
VC MODE 2 - used only for panoramas
VC MODE 3 - image capture stabilization is prioritized over viewfinder image stabilization

Flex Zoom Lock is a mechanism that allows you to quickly lock and unlock the zoom in any position by simply sliding the zoom ring. You'll be able to easily shoot from any angle without unintentionally changing the zoom. You will also appreciate the system when transporting the lens, as it prevents unwanted tube roll. The protective rubber on the lens helps protect the lens from scratches while helping to keep the lens upright. The front of the lens is coated with a protective fluorine coating to repel water and oil. As a result, this means only one thing - the lens surface can be easily cleaned of dirt, dust, moisture or fingerprints without any consequences. In addition, the entire tube is protected by a leak-proof seal, so you can shoot outdoors without worry.
