Great Expectations

Laura Collins's dream has come true. She has secured a position at one of the most prestigious clinics in America. At Whitestone Hospital in the desert city of Phoenix, Laura quickly learns that her dream job will push her to her limits and demand her all. Long working hours, a lack of sleep, difficult decisions, and poignant stories take over her life.

She is deeply hurt when a little girl doesn't survive an operation. She must overcome doubts and uncertainties when facing death, but she also experiences the miracles that happen in her dream profession.

Furthermore, she faces another challenge in the form of Dr Nash Brooks, the young Head of Cardiothoracic Surgery. Nash is capable, attractive, and her supervisor – which makes him completely off-limits! The fateful attraction between the graduate and her superior, set amidst hospital corridors and operating theatres, and against a backdrop of dramatic A&E situations, does not go unnoticed by their curious colleagues. They both must fight for their happiness.

In the hot desert city, a love story unfolds between two doctors who save human lives, but ultimately save each other. However, an unexpected tragedy at the end hints that new surprises await in the second volume.
