Vendetta

Life was bloody brilliant. I went from a downtrodden accountant to a Monster Hunter, I stopped an alien invasion, saved the world and got engaged to the girl of my dreams. But then the fanatical leader of the Holy Church of the Temporarily Deceased dumped a van full of zombies in my yard, my vampire mother-in-law popped in for a chat, and the Monster Control Bureau informed me of a slight misunderstanding that's led a three-kilometre-long alien cephalopod to believe I tickled it with a nuke last year, and now it wants revenge. As a bonus, the MCB assigned me round-the-clock protection in the form of Special Agent Franks, who once nearly beat the soul out of me and can't wait for something to try and kill me. And so, thanks to the federal government, I went from Monster Hunter to monster bait. But this worm on a hook is armed to the teeth and won't go down without a fight.
