The Toshiba 50QV3F63DG TV uses a 50" QLED panel with 4K Ultra HD resolution and the Vidaa operating system. The screen, with Direct LED backlighting and a 50/60Hz refresh rate, supports the dynamic Dolby Vision format, which optimises brightness and contrast for every scene. The audio component is provided by 20W speakers, developed in collaboration with Onkyo, which decode Dolby Atmos surround sound. TRU Flow technology contributes to the smoothness of fast scenes. The Vidaa system offers quick access to streaming services like Netflix, Disney+, and YouTube. Three HDMI 2.0 ports and two USB ports are available for connecting external devices.

The 127cm (50") QLED panel displays content in native 4K Ultra HD resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels. Quantum Dot technology uses nanocrystals to filter light, resulting in a wider colour gamut and more vibrant shades. The Direct LED backlighting, with diodes distributed across the entire panel area, contributes to uniform brightness and deeper contrast. The television processes high dynamic range content in HDR and Dolby Vision formats at a brightness of 320 nits. TRU Flow (MEMC) technology ensures smooth motion, while TRU Resolution and UHD Upscaler enhance sharpness and detail even for lower-resolution content.

The integrated sound system, designed in collaboration with specialists from Onkyo, operates with a total power of 20W. Two down-firing speakers support the decoding of the Dolby Atmos surround sound format, which enriches the soundscape with a vertical dimension. To connect an external soundbar or home cinema system, the TV is equipped with an HDMI connector with eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel). This feature transmits uncompressed audio tracks, including full Dolby Atmos, to the connected audio device. A five-band equaliser is also available for manual sound adjustment.

The Vidaa operating system provides a clear and fast user interface for accessing smart features. It offers pre-installed global streaming apps, including Netflix, YouTube, Apple TV, Disney+, and Amazon Prime Video. Czech and Slovak services such as Oneplay, SledováníTV, and LepšíTV are also available. The TV supports the HbbTV 2.0.2 hybrid broadcasting standard, which, at the press of the red button, provides access to online archives and other content from television stations. The integrated USB media player supports formats such as MKV, MP4, AVI, MP3, and JPG. Basic Hotel Mode is also included.

The TV features a Game Mode that optimises image parameters for the lowest possible response time (input lag). Activating this mode limits some image processing, which leads to a faster TV response to commands from the game controller. Game consoles or computers can be connected via three HDMI 2.0 standard ports. These ports fully support signal transmission in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second, which corresponds to the standards of previous and current generation game consoles for most titles. The panel's refresh rate is 50/60Hz.

The television offers three HDMI 2.0 ports, one of which supports eARC for audio transmission. Two USB ports are used for playing multimedia files from external drives and also for recording TV broadcasts (PVR). A LAN connector is provided for a wired internet connection. Wireless connectivity is handled by integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Audio outputs include a digital optical output and a headphone connector. A CI+ slot is available for receiving paid television services. Additionally, the Screen Mirroring feature allows you to mirror content from mobile devices directly onto the TV screen.

The TV has a central stand. The dimensions with the stand are 1120 × 703 × 235mm, which is an important consideration for placement on a TV cabinet. After removing the stand for wall mounting, the dimensions of the panel itself are 1120 × 648 × 87mm. The total weight without the stand is 11.1kg. For wall mounting, the TV is compatible with the VESA standard with a mounting hole spacing of 200 × 200mm. The package includes a detachable stand and a remote control with batteries.

In standard dynamic range (SDR) mode, the television falls into energy class E, with a consumption of 54kWh per 1,000 hours of operation. When displaying high dynamic range (HDR) content, the consumption increases to 104kWh/1000h, which corresponds to energy class G. The higher consumption in HDR mode is due to the need for higher brightness to display the enhanced contrast. In standby mode, when you turn the TV off with the remote control, the consumption is 0.5W. These figures are based on the European Union's measurement methodology and are listed on the product's energy label.
