AKAI MPD232
The AKAI MPD232 Midi Controller is a great way to control virtual drums and other instruments. It is iOS compatible and offers 16 speed and pressure sensitive pads and other fully mappable features. This MIDI/USB pad controller for DJs, programmers, producers, and other musicians is based on Akai Professional's industry-standard MPC pads and controllers.

An expressive and intuitive tool for use in the studio and on stage
The AKAI MPD232 is built on the MPC pads and incorporates selected of the same technologies that give your tracks an unmistakably human MPC dimension. Its compact size makes it easy to fit into any set-up. Combined with virtually any MIDI software, the MPD232 provides everything you need to create tracks with a great feel. At the heart of the AKAI MPD232 is a set of 16 speed and pressure sensitive MPC pads, exclusive to Akai Pro. Three different banks can be assigned to individual MPC pads for a total of up to 64 pad sounds. The MPD232 also borrows assignable Q-Link drivers from the MPC series, allowing you to control almost any software parameter in real time. You get assignable Q-Link faders for natural control over your most frequently used parameters. MPC Note Repeat allows you to quickly insert patters as party hi-hats or drum rolls.

The MPD232 also has up to 30 configurable presets, so you can prepare your own program for the way you work with different hardware and software devices. It sends MIDI information via a USB interface, so you can use it with a Mac or PC without having to install any drivers. Power supply is also directly via USB. The AKAI MPD232 can control almost any MIDI software, as well as MIDI hardware, like synthesizers, sound modules, samplers, sequencers, drum machines, and others. The MPD232 gives you the ability to drive with the feel of the MPC series in a highly portable device with a compact footprint that fits easily into any rig.
