Alavis SAMMY supports liver regeneration
Alavis SAMMY dietary supplement has a positive effect on the liver. The liver is a key organ in the body' s metabolism and detoxification, as they carry out carbohydrate metabolism, lipids, amino acids, ammonia detoxification, cholesterol degradation, heme and others, which are important for the proper functioning of the body. Hormones are formed, degraded and inactivated in the liver, and plasma proteins are formed. We must also not forget an important function, and that is the supply of energy, iron and vitamins.
Suitable for animal patients with dementia
Alavis SAMMY is used for so-called disorders. cognitive functions in dogs and cats. These disorders are most often manifested by impaired cognition of family members or complete disorientation. Your pets may get lost in their familiar environment. Another manifestation is a change in the sleep cycle, when they more often wake up at night, are restless and have signs of disorientation. Deterioration of hygiene habits in the form of urination at home can also lead to these disorders. All these changes can result in the so-called geriatric (senile) dementia. Dementia is considered to be a condition where the deterioration in function is more severe than age and health.
Substances contained in the preparation
SAM-e (S-adenosyl methionine) - 200 mg
Silybin (milk thistle extract) - 24 mg
The active substance SAM-e (S-adenosylmethionine) occurs naturally in animal bodies. It is formed in the liver from the amino acid methionine, which dogs and cats eat. However, in case of malnutrition, liver disease or old and chronically ill animals, its supply may not be sufficient.
S-adenosylmethionine participates in a number of chemical reactions in the body, mainly through its conversion to glutathione, which is an important antioxidant (protects cells from oxidative stress and free oxygen radicals) and thus helps, for example, in wound healing.
SAM-e contains sulfur and methyl groups. As a result, it participates in the synthesis of neurotransmitters. Nerotransmitters are chemicals that form in the nervous system to pass information between nerve cells or between nerve and muscle cells.

Silybin from milk thistle has been known for many years and used for its hepatoprotective effect, ie. protects liver cells (hepatocytes). It prevents the breakdown of hepatocytes and helps to regenerate the damaged cell membrane.
Concomitant use of SAM-e and Silybin has a significant positive effect on liver regeneration. Recently, the importance of SAM-e has also been found in cognitive disorders (dementia) of geriatric dogs and cats. With the increasing age of these animals, we encounter the development of dementia and with the help of SAM-e it is possible to alleviate these changes.
Dosage of Alavis SAMMY
