AMD A6-5400K Black Edition
A representative of the latest generation of AMD processors, delivering top performance through data processing optimisations. Integration of multiple cores into a single chip is now the best for SMP applications, since it allows the use of multiple physical cores relative to the number of processors themselves. There is also support for a variety of different, especially multi-media, instruction sets.
This is another addition to the so-called "APU" (Accelerated Processing Unit). It is based on the innovative multiprocessor kernel junction architecture, the Microsoft DirectX 11 graphics core, the DDR3 memory controller and the northern bridge with the PCI Express 2.0 interface on one chip. This architecture delivers significantly lower power consumption than the stand-alone components, and is the perfect solution for users looking for low-cost mid-range computers.
Support for DDR3 fast memory is very convenient as the integrated graphics core does not have its own memory, so it has to rely on system memory allocation. The iGPU memory allocation takes precedence over the CPU, making it theoretically possible to achieve a bandwidth of up to 30GB/sec with DDR3 1866MHz. A computer equipped with this processor will be a versatile machine for multimedia use, occasional gaming, internet surfing and routine office operations. It is also recommended for home cinema HTPC. The processor is compatible only with motherboards with a new FM2 slot.
