AMD launches new generation of desktop processors, once again sold under FX Series label, offering the new Piledriver modules instead of Bulldozer. We can expect greater performance from them and certainly lower power consumption. All processors are designed for the popular AM3+ socket, which will provide the silicon square with a lot of pampering.
Eight amazing cores
AMD FX-8370 is a powerful representative of the new line of FX processors. Its cores are produced in a modern 32 nm manufacturing process thanks to which it is possible to increase processing efficiency, improve performance and reduce heat radiation. The processor also features Turbo CORE second generation technology, which ensures maximum performance at a wide range of uses.

Intelligent frequency management
In case you do not make use all of the processor cores, the operating frequency for the active ones get automatically increased, thus reaching superior performance even with applications that do not use the full computing potential. Additionally, the processor comprises two turbo frequencies between which it can switch, so that it always fits into the specified upper TDP limit.
AMD FX-8370 also offers the ability to process brand new instructions. Instruction AVX (Advanced Vector Extensions) improves parallelism, which comes in handy in scientific and 3D applications that use complex floating point calculations. Instruction AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) then significantly improves the performance of the latest cryptographic applications, such as TrueCrypt, and evaluating applications, such as PCMark.

The processor supports DDR3 memories. It co-operates extremely well with low voltage modules. Used in this model is an intelligent memory controller that optimizes communication with each core processor with a memory module.
