Wireless charging with the MagSafe Charger is a breeze.
Perfectly aligned magnets snap onto compatible iPhone models. When paired with a 30W power adaptor, the MagSafe Charger delivers wireless charging at up to 25W. The MagSafe Charger is certified for Qi2.2 and Qi charging standards, so you can use it to wirelessly charge your iPhone 8 or later, as well as AirPods models with a wireless charging case. It is sold with a cable in two lengths: 1 metre and 2 metres. Magnetic alignment only works with iPhone 12, iPhone 13, iPhone 14, iPhone 15, compatible iPhone 16 models, iPhone 17 models and iPhone Air.

*Testing conducted by Apple in July 2025 using preproduction iPhone 17, iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max units and software, paired with a USB-C charging cable and a 40W Apple Dynamic Power Adaptor with a maximum output of 60W (Model A3351), and with Apple MagSafe chargers (Model A3502 with 1-metre cable and Model A3503 with 2-metre cable) and a 30W Apple USB-C Power Adaptor (Model A2164) or a 40W Apple Dynamic Power Adaptor with a maximum output of 60W (Model A3351). Fast-charge testing was conducted with drained iPhone units. Measured from the moment the Apple logo appears on the display after turning on the device. Charge time varies with adaptor, settings, usage and environment. Actual results will vary.
- Charging speed depends on the total power of a charger (W) and the maximum power that can be used to charge the device that is being charged. If the charger provides more power than the device supports, the power supplied is automatically reduced so that the device is not damaged in any way.
